5 SPRINGTIME SMOOTHIE RECIPES TO REFRESH AND RENEW

Spring is here and the weather is getting warmer once again. That means it’s smoothie time! Smoothies can be an easy way to get in some extra nutrients in, for your and for your family. When you combine the right blend of ingredients, you can really create a powerful, antioxidant powerhouse that actually tastes good, and not like you’re eating grass.

Here are three smoothie alkaline water-based recipes to try using your Dafi Alkaline Water Glass Pitcher.

Health tip:

Most smoothies will require to use a heavy, creamy dairy product (such as yogurt or coconut milk) or sugar-infused juice as a base. Instead, we’re cutting a lot of the calories and unnecessary sugars using just water instead. Bonus:

For a thicker smoothie, you can put the alkaline water in an ice cube tray to freeze. To note, there will be some ORP and alkalinity lost when water is frozen and exposed to air for prolonged periods of time. We recommend to freeze and use as quickly as possible.

1.ANTIOXIDANT BERRY SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

-3/4 Cup each of blueberries and strawberries (or berry of your choice)

-1 banana (can be frozen)

-1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg

-2 tbsp of chia seeds

-1/2 Cup filtered alkaline water

-1 Cup of ice cubes (or substitute for more water)

2. PROTEIN-PACKED ENERGIZING SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

-1 Cup of Spinach

-1 frozen banana

-1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice

-1 tsp maca powder

-1 tsp flax seeds

-1 C filtered alkaline water

-1/2 Cup of ice cubes (or substitute for more water)

3. GREEN MACHINE SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

-1 C frozen mixed berries

-1 C spinach

-1 C kale

-1/2 frozen banana

-1 tsp spirulina

-1 tsp chia seeds

-1/2 filtered alkaline water

-1 Cup of ice cubes (or substitute for more water)
